BMKG Climate Ocean Forecast System

BMKG Climate–Ocean Forecast System (C-OFS) is being developed to provide intra-seasonal forecasts of oceanic and atmospheric conditions across the Indonesian Maritime Continent. The system is designed to support marine climate monitoring, forecasting, and climate-based decision-making. Currently, BMKG C-OFS Version 1 (v1.0) provides significant wave height forecasts as its initial operational product. Future developments will progressively expand the system to include surface winds, ocean currents, sea surface temperature, sea surface salinity, and precipitation, providing a more comprehensive representation of atmosphere–ocean conditions over the Indonesian maritime region
